Funeral of John Wellman Bloomer
Wabash IN -- Funeral services for John Wellman Bloomer, age 30, were held at the home, 425 North Huntington St, today. The Rev. W. H. Anderson officiated. Burial was made at Odd Fellows Cemetery at LaFontaine.
The deceased died Sunday at noon, following a lingering illness of several years. His wife, Mrs. Floy Bloomer, died several years ago.
Those surviving are two sons, John W. Bloomer Jr. and James Robert; his parents, two brothers, Dr. Joseph Bloomer of Rockville and Fred Bloomer of Marion; two sisters, Mrs. Bessie Gurtner of Treaty and Mrs. Ella Grass of Mercedes, Tenn.
Mr. Bloomer was a member of the Christian Church and the Masonic Lodge. He was also secretary of the Elwood Chamber of Commerce for a period.
