Services for Robert Craig Gorsch, 11, rural Deep River, were Monday, September 20, in Community Church, west of Millersburg at 1:30 p.m. Rev. Jerry Breese officiated.
The youngster died Friday, September 17, 1976, in University Hospitals, Iowa City, of head injuries suffered September 14 at the family farm, three miles west of Millersburg. While watering a cow from a tank mounted on wheels, the youngster was severely injured when the tank fell on his head. Taken to the hospital he underwent brain surgery late that night. Burial was in the Community Cemetery. He is survived by his parents and 12 brothers and sisters, and his grandmother, Mrs. Mae Wyant. He is preceded in death by his grandfather Alfred Wyant. Parents of the youth released after his death, his eyes to the eye bank and his kidneys to the kidney foundation at the University Hospitals.
