Also, George had a sister, Clarissa Swift, born in 1850.
George married Jane McBride.
A daughter of George and Jane Swift, was Mildred Swift Wilson.
On March 12, 1931, Beaver Dam, Watauga County, N.C., George W. Swift, still married, died at the age of 78.
