Services for Jerry Dwain "Fuzz" Morgan, 66, of Ardmore, are scheduled for 10 a.m., Thursday, March 5, 2009 at the Alexander Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Cal Hall officiating. Services are under the direction of Alexander Funeral Home in Wilson.
Fuzz was born Jan. 19, 1943 in Simon, Okla. to the late Erskin Davenport and Clara Shaw Morgan. He departed this life Sunday, March 1, 2009 in Ardmore.
Fuzz was raised in the Simon area, attending school at Turner graduating in 1961. He then attended Southeastern College for three years obtaining an associate degree. He gained employment with Sperry Sun Oil Co. as a Survey Engineer for 10 years. He worked many jobs in the oilfield working for Scientific Drilling the last seven years as a MWD operator. He and Barbara Ann LaStrapes were married May 7, 1974 in Gainesville, TX. Fuzz was an avid OU fan and loved all sports. He especially loved watching his granddaughter Megan play softball.
Preceding him in death were his parents, his brother Rogers Morgan and a sister, Brenda.
Survivors include his wife Barbara of the home; three daughters, Anita White and husband Dennis of Ardmore, Janet Harbeson and husband Dee of Lone Grove and Shelly Campbell and husband Dr. David Campbell of Owasso; five sons, Jimmy Garcia and wife Nancy of Galveston, TX, Larry Garcia of Florida, Tommy Garcia and wife Linda of Angleton, TX, Marty Garcia of Dickinson, TX and Wade Gracia and wife Trish of Dickinson, TX; and two sisters, Patricia Hall and husband Cal of Maysville, KY and Carolyn Martin of Mexia, TX.
Pallbearers will be Anthony Meadows, Joshua Estrada, Kevin Freeman, Stacy Tyner, Joe Don Stewart and Shawn Tucker. Honorary bearers will be Larry Wilson, Gene Rhodes, J.D. Dunn and Dale Gore.
