John Newton Jordan was the husband of Theodosia Kitchings, they married the 29th of June 1885, in Pike Co., GA. Theodosia Kitchings Jordan was the daughter of Zachariah Harvey Kitchings (1831-1892) and Carolina Lewis. Theodosia Jordan does not appear on any census nor other record after this. It must be assumed that she died between this date and 1890 before the census date. John Jordan is found on every US census after that thru 1950 living as a boarder in homes where worker wages were in paid. He stated that he was widowed on the 1900, then as single on the 1910, 1920, 1930, 1940, and 1950. He never remarried.
