David was killed in action while serving as a Lance Corporal in the United States Marines, while on tour in Vietnam. He is honored on the "Vietnam Memorial" in the City Park at the south end of Main Street in Broken Arrow, OK, along with the others that so courageously gave their lives for our country.

After talking with his mother today, she would like to find the two girls that brought a potted ivy to his funeral so she could to talk with them, she still has the plant hanging in her window. She seems to recall that one of the girls last name was "Cash", but not certain.
