Beverly Ann Owen Vaden died May 11, 2003, after a courageous and determined battle against aggressive brain cancer. She was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, daughter, aunt and friend.

Survivors include her husband of 40 years, Billy Charles Vaden; mother, Clouis Carr Owen; children, Jennifer Ann Vaden Watson, Curtis Wayne Vaden and Angela Jane Vaden Hopper; 10 grandchildren; and numerous friends and supporters.

She was a fun-loving, caring and generous lady who enjoyed golf, travel, cards and laughter with friends and family. She will be remembered, among many other things, as someone who was agile, talkative, athletic, a sensible financial planner and as a loving admirer of her grandchildren. She cherished her grandsons, Levi and Logan Watson; Justin, Jarrett and Jentry Hopper; and an unnamed grandson due in September; and her granddaughters, Lindsey and Lily Watson, Janie Hopper and Anna Vaden. In lieu of flowers, donations to the American Cancer Society are encouraged for those that desire. A funeral service will be conducted at 2 p.m. today at New Hope Community Church. Interment will be in Harpeth Hills Memorial Gardens immediately following the ceremony. Harpeth Hills Funeral Home 646-9292
