Mrs. Faye Wilder, age 59 of London, KY departed this life on Tuesday, December 16, 2008 in the Laurel Heights Nursing Home in London. She was born on October 4, 1949 in Warren, KY and was the daughter of Oscar & Lula (Shelton) Davis and the widow of Isom Wilder. Mrs. Wilder was a member of the Salt Gum Baptist Church and was a homemaker. The most important thing in Faye's life was being with her family. She also loved shopping, cooking, gardening, bird watching, growing flowers and traveling. She is preceded in death by her husband Isom Wilder, her parents, Oscar & Lula Davis, four brothers, John Davis, Bill Davis, Ray Davis and Bruce Davis, three sisters, Wanda Fuston, Lossie Buchanan and Betty Brown.



Those left behind to mourn her passing are her three children, Billy Haynes and wife Jen of Perry, Michigan, Carmen Paletta and husband Bryan of Las Vegas, Nevada and Connie Smith also of Las Vegas, her seven grandchildren Shasta, Natasha, Dakota, Jesse, Paige, Serena and Jake, her three sisters, Floretta Sowders and husband Harold of London, KY, Ruth Vertz and husband Leonard of Perry, Michigan, Alice Harrel and husband Bill of Orlando, Florida, her sisters in law, Mary Lou Davis and Mary Davis, several nieces and nephews along with a host of many other relatives and friends to mourn her passing. Funeral services for Mrs. Wilder will be conducted on Saturday at 3:30 p.m. in the Hampton Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Kennon Roark officiating. Pallbearers will be Billy Haynes, Bryan Paletta, Tim Sowders, Langdon Messer, Richard Jackson and Sam Buchanan. Honorary Pallbearers will be Harold Sowders and Bill Harrel. Mrs. Wilder will be laid to rest in the Barbourville Cemetery. Hampton Funeral Home will be in charge of all arrangements. The family will receive friends this evening (Friday) at the Hampton Funeral Home from 6:30 until 9:00 pm. and on Saturday from 9:00 a.m. until the hour of service at 3:30.
