H. Arthur Emanuelson, 71, of Tarentum, died Saturday, Jan. 31, 2009, in Good Samaritan Hospice at Concordia, Cabot. He was born Aug. 16, 1937, in Brackenridge, where he lived all his life. He was the husband of Betty Gayle (Bash) Emanuelson, to whom he was married for 39 years. He graduated from Har-Brack High School and was employed as a grocer, where he made deliveries for B. Wikes and Sons, Brackenridge, for 43 years, retiring in 1996. He was a member of First Congregational Church, Tarentum, and was a social member of the American Legion and Pioneer Hose, Brackenridge. He also served on the council of First Congregational Church. He is survived by his wife, Betty Gayle Emanuelson, of Tarentum; daughter, Dotti (David) Sloan, of Harrison Township; grandson, Kyle Sloan; sisters, Beverly Dixon, of Cheswick, and Ruth Jean Kozir, of Monroeville; also several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Herbert L. and Lucy Fassett Emanuelson; brothers, Leonard, Carl and Walter; and sisters, Irene, Lillian and Elvira. Family will receive friends from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday in the KRYNICKI FUNERAL HOME, Natrona Heights. Services will be held at 8 p.m. Tuesday in the funeral home with the Rev. R. Cameron Malcolm, pastor of Natrona Heights Presbyterian Church, officiating.

Burial in Mt. Airy Cemetery.
