Daughter of Thomas Barker and Elizabeth Thompson; wife of Charles Greenwood Keetch.

ST. CHARLES NOTES {Probably the town newspaper.} St. Charles March 18, 1910 Mrs. Mercy Keetch died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. S. O. Arnell, on Friday, March 11. Deceased was one of the pioneers of this valley and experienced many of the hardships incident to the settlement and building up of the west. She is survived by four sons, three daughters, twenty-three grand children and two great grand children. Her funeral services were held at the meeting house Sunday afternoon, March 13. The house was crowded with relatives and friends who gathered to pay their last respects to one whom they had known and loved for so many years. The speakers all referred to the exemplary Christian life the deceased had lived and to the numerous deeds of kindness she had performed for her relatives and friends. The floral tributes were many and beautiful. Her four sons and two grand-sons acted as pall bearers.
