U.S. Civil War Draft Registration Record, 1863-1865 for Abraham Angevine, born 1825, New York. Age on 1 July 1863: 38; White. Residence: St. Joseph, Michigan. Class 2."

Message received on November 16, 2013 from a Audubon County resident who has been doing research for me on this family:

"Viola Cemetery records show Angevine family plot 23'6" x 7'. The cemetery does not list family members buried, only plot size and last name. With this size of plot, several are probably buried here."

1870 - Employed by Atlantic and Pacific Railroad in Pierce City, Lawrence County Missouri to help open line to Viola, Iowa.

"Abraham's (half) brother Allen S. Angevine worked for the railroad also, as did his sons Allen Jr. and Frank and several others of their family. Allen, who died in St. Louis, owned a carpentry shop and built boxcars for the RR. Several of the Warren family (relatives of Allen's wife Maria Warren) are said to have worked for the railroad and went to Wisconsin & California, etc."
