Joseph Spychalski died at his home Sunday afternoon at 4:30 following a three weeks illness. Born in Poland, March 24, 1868, the son of John and Anna Spychalski, he had been a resident of this city for 55 years and was a retired pullman Standard Car Mfg. carpenter.
He was married Feb. 15, 1892 in Otis to Helen Meyer, who survives. Also surviving are the following sons and daughters: Thomas, John and Walter Spychalski, of this city, Mrs. Lawrence Timm, Attica, and Mrs. Anthony Goch, this city. Four children preceded him in death. A brother, Ignatz Spychalski, and a sister, Mrs. Stella Welnitz of this city. 15 grandchildren and two great grandchildren also survivie. He was a member of St. Stanislaus Church and St. Hedwig Society.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday morning at 8:30 at the Root Funeral home and at 9 at St. Stanislaus Church with Rev. Julian Doktor officiating. Burial will be in St. Stanislaus Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Frank, Henry and Andrew Spychalski and Lawrence Welnitz. Friends may call this evening. Tuesday and Wednesday until the funeral hour at the Root Funeral home.
