Mr. Clonts was born in Paulding county, on November 25, 1876, the son of the late Ashberry Brown Clonts and the late Sarah Patterson Simmons Clonts. He had lived in Paulding County all of his life.
Survivors include on brother, Mr. Ernest Clonts, Atlanta; one sister, Mrs. Etta Jordan, Hiram and a number of nieces and Nephews. His sister Mrs. Vera McClung, passed away only 32 hours after Mr. Clonts passed away.
Funeral Services were conducted on Saturday, October 21, 1978 at 2 o'clock from Turk's Memory Chapel with nehew Richard Arnold officiating. Great nephews served as active pallbearers.
Interment was in the Flint Hill Methodist Church Cemetery with Turk's Funeral Home, Powder Springs, In charge of all the arrangements.
