Abram Bartholomew
Expires Suddenly at His Son's Residence
Mill Hall, Jan. 16.--Mr. Abram Bartholomew died last evening at 6 o'clock at the residence of his son, Harry, in Bald Eagle township, of paralysis. Mr. Bartholomew had been enjoying his usual good health. He was stricken yesterday afternoon at 4:10 o'clock while sitting on a chair. He was removed to a sofa, where he expired. The deceased was aged 74 years, five months and 15 days, and is survived by one daughter and one son, Mrs. Ida Adams, of Williamsport, and Harry F. Bartholomew, at home. Mr. Bartholomew was born in Salona and lived there until six years ago, when he became a citizen of Mill Hall. He was a member of the Presbyterian church, and was always a willing worker when his services were needed. Mr. Bartholomew was well known in this community, always having a good word and a smile for everyone. When the news was given out that he had expired suddenly, many words of regret were heard, as he was highly respected and loved by all. The funeral services will be held at the house on Saturday morning at 10 o'clock. Rev. L. F. Brown will conduct the services. Interment will be made in Cedar Hill Cemetery.
Mrs. Adams was telegraphed for and arrived here this morning.
