Ezra Mounts Dies of Kerosene Burns
New Harmony, Ind., February 9 (Special)-Ezra Mounts, 32, New Harmony, died at 8:05 o'clock this morning in Welborn-Walker Hospital in Evansville as the result of burns suffered nine weeks ago.
Mounts, employee of Reed Roller Bit Company, was cleaning machinery with kerosene at the Continental Supply Co. plant here when his clothing caught fire from flames of an outdoor fire that had been kindled to provide warmth for the workers.
Body to New Harmony;
The body has been brought to the Shoultz Funeral Home here and will be removed Tuesday to the residence of the deceased's mother, Mrs. Mary Elizabeth (Stallings) Mounts, widow of William Edgar Mounts, in New Harmony. The funeral will be held Wednesday afternoon at 2 0'clock at the Baptist church in Griffin with Rev. Jake Barnett officiating. Burial will be in Bethsadia cemetery.
Surviving are the wife, nee Bonnie Stevens, of Griffin; a daughter, Mary Lois age 6 months; the mother, Mrs. Mary Elizabeth (Stallings) Mounts; four sisters, Mrs. Milo (Alma) Moody, New Harmony, Mrs. Courtland (Juna) Alsop, Poseyville, Mrs. David (Deloris) Landis, Indianapolis, and Mrs. Marjorie Perry, New Harmony, and three brothers, Malcolm Edward "Mac" Mounts, Stewartsville, Leonard Lemuel "Buck" Mounts, Owensville, and Manford Eugene "Mutt" Mounts, Evansville.
