He's my uncle. I was shocked when I came across his death certificate while I was doing family research, because I never knew that my grandparents had lost a son. No one ever spoke of it. I guess the loss was too painful.
He must have been their first child as they married in 1930.
He was named after my grandfather, Dillard Nelson Branson.
Though he died in St. Joseph, he's buried in Maryville, MO, where my grandparent's had lived prior to moving to St. Joseph and where my grandfather had family.
He was attended by the Sidenfaden Funeral Home in St. Joseph.
A historian wrote to me and said that he's buried in the SE field, known as "Potters Field."
