WAYSIDE - Joe Thomas "Tom" Bilderback, 66, of Five Points Road, died Thursday, February 26, 2009, in a local nursing home.

Funeral services will be held at 2P.M., Sunday, March 1, 2009 at Wayside Presbyterian Church, with burial in the church cemetery. Rev. Don Hendrix and Rev. Karen Mitcham will conduct the services.

Mr. Bilderback, the son of the late Joseph Boyce Bilderback and Maurine Russell Bilderback, was born in Macon on November 5, 1942, and was a lifelong resident of Jones County. He was a 1962 graduate of Jones County High School and attended Abraham Baldwin Agricultural College in Tifton. Mr. Bilderback was retired from the Georgia Department of Natural Resources as a supervisor and also served his country with honor as a member of the United States Army National Guard. He was also a member of Wayside Presbyterian Church, the National Wild Turkey Federation, as well as Quail Unlimited.

Mr. Bilderback is survived by his companion, Jeane Hunt of Wayside; sons, Joseph Perry Bilderback and Thomas Allen Bilderback, both of Jones County; sister, Gail Dean of Sunny Side; a granddaughter, Morgan Bilderback of Jones County; and by an aunt, Tommie Hall, also of Jones County.
