WILLIAM V. RACER
William Virgil Racer, 84, of Friendly, died Friday, Nov. 2,
at Ohio Valley Medical Center, Wheeling.
He was born in New Matamoras, a son of the late Dudley and
Dollie Griffin Racer.
He was a member of the Friendly united Methodist Church and
was retired from Corning of Paden City.
He is survived by a son, Charles D. Racer of New Martinsville;
a daughter, Beverly Sprouse of Paden City; a brother, Sherman
Racer of Sistersville; a sister Freda Hammett of St. Marys;
eight grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren and a great-great-
grandson.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Estel Racer in 1985.
The funeral will lbe 1:30 Sunday at Eckels Funeral Home,
Sistersville with Rev. William Williamson officiating.
Burial will be in Middlebourne Cemetery.
Friends may call at the funeral home from 2-4 and 7-9 pm today.
