She attended both Cutler and Burlington schools. She had worked at the Essex Wire Co. in Flora. She was also a cook in different restaurants in the area and had cleaned houses in the area.
She attended the Burlington Faith Church of Christ and was a member of the Burlington Church of Christ. She enjoyed making noodles and gardening.
Survivors include two sons, Gary (Brenda) Crume and Richard "Dick" (Janis) Crume, Burlington; grandchildren Brian (Linda) Crume, Sumittville, Lori (Steve) Wilson, Connorsville, Jeremy (Kelli) Crume and Matthew Crume, Burlington; great-grandchildren Treyor Wilson, Hayden Crume, Madison Crume, Jordan Crume and Jenna Crume; sisters Hilda Redding Harvey, Flora, Joan Martin, Delphi, Betty Farrer, Royal Center, Martha Sharp, Flora, Bonnie McGill, Lafayette and Roberta (Lester) Elliott, Lucerne; and a brother, Robert Milburn, Logansport.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; and a daughter, Carolyn Jane Crume.
