DUMAS - Lawrence O. Harvey, 81, died Tuesday, Sept. 1, 1998.

Graveside services will be at 11 a.m. Friday in Northlawn Memorial Gardens Cemetery with Art Lynch, minister of First Street Church of Christ of Dumas, officiating. Arrangements are by Morrison Funeral Directors.

Mr. Harvey was born in Lone Wolf, Okla. He was an Army veteran of World War II. Formerly a Hawthorne, Calif., resident for 40 years, he had lived in Dumas since 1976.

In 1974, Mr. Harvey retired after 29 years as master printer and plate maker for Continental Can Co., of Los Angeles. He was a member of the Dumas Veterans of Foreign Wars No. 9022.

He married Juanita Whitley in 1988 at Dumas. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Ellen Harvey.

Survivors include his wife; a daughter, Lois Roland of Sharon, Pa.; a stepdaughter, Mary Smith of Lubbock; four stepsons, Joe Whitely of Bloomfield, N.M., Eddie Whitley of Amarillo, Les Whitley of Taloga, Okla., and Wes Whitley of Dumas; and three grandchildren.

The family will be at 609 S. Maddox in Dumas. They suggest memorials be to a favorite charity.
