Jeanette Kennedy "Susie" Deer, 94, of Hickory, died Feb. 25, 2009, at Catawba Valley Medical Center.
Born May 23, 1914, in Americus, Ga., she was the daughter of the late Brat and Izola Guilliam Kennedy.
Mrs. Deer lived a rich and full life.
She was the loving wife of the late Otis M. Deer and the mother of Patricia Ann Deer, Jean Deer McManus and the late Joyce Deer Lineberger. Other survivors include her grandchildren, Melanie Lineberger Lutz, Robin Lineberger Wohlbruck, Elizabeth Lineberger Tarumianz and Leigh Allison McManus. She also has seven great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.
A private graveside service will be conducted in Catawba Memorial Park.
