John T. HARDIE, 75, former Abilenian, died at 6 a.m. Sunday at his home in Weatherford.
Mr. HARDIE, a member of a pioneer Abilene grocery family, was born April 15, 1878 in Alpine, Ala.
Funeral will be held at Weatherford at 10 a.m. Tuesday with graveside services held here at 3 p.m. Tuesday at Masonic Cemetery with the Rev. Leland MURPHY, pastor of the First Presbyterian Church, officiating. Laughter-North Funeral Home is in charge of funeral arrangements.
Survivors include three brothers, the Rev. James F. HARDIE of San Saba, J. W. HARDIE of 1118 Highland Ave., and Robert C. HARDIE of 1040 Poplar St; two sisters, Mrs. Jesse WALKER of 1118 Highland Ave. and Mrs. J. L. SLEEPER of Waco; and a number of nephews and nieces.
