Hetty is a daughter of Sommers Hall and Harriett (Pearce) Davis. She married John Nesbit Hillis on September 2, 1894 in Burlington, Coffey County, Kansas. They have three sons, Gordon, Richard, and Walter.

She appears on the 1880 Census with her parents, Sommers and Harriett.

She appears on the 1900, 1910, 1920, and 1930 Censuses with her husband, John.

MRS HENRIETTA E HILLIS, 75, of 3212 Everett, died this morning at the home. She had resided in Kansas City Kansas for fifty-five years and was a member of the First Presbyterian church and the Native Daughters of Kansas.

Surviving are two sons, Gordon N Hillis, 1908 North Fourteenth; Walter S Hillis, 5603 Park, Kansas City, Missouri; a brother, Gordon S Davis, 605 North Sixth; a sister, Mrs Dora Webb, Layfayette, Indiana; and four grandchildren.

Services will be held at 2 o'clock Thursday in the Long Mortuary. Burial will be in Highland Park cemetery. The body will lie in state after 6 o'clock tomorrow night in the mortuary.
