Charlie Cooper, of Cooper, died Saturday, May 7, at the Sam Rayburn Memorial Hospital in Bonham.
Funeral services were set for Monday, May 9, at 4 p.m. at the Delta Funeral Home Chapel with Richard Tatum, of Cooper, officiating. Burial will be in East Delta Cemetery.
He was born in Ellis County on Dec. 30, 1899, a son of James Harrison Cooper and Fannie Atkins Cooper. He was a veteran of a World War I with service in the U.S. Navy. He had been a resident of Delta County for most of his life and was a member of the Delta Masonic Lodge.
On June 1, 1931 he married. Lillie Scott. She preceded him in death.
Survivors include one son, C. Scott Cooper, of Canyon Lake, Calif.; three grandchildren, one great grandchild, several nieces and nephews.
