services were Friday, Oct 22, 1999 at the Thayne Stake Center. Burial at Thayne Cemetery.
He was born Dec 16, 1932 to Ralph and Persis Young Taylor in Coltman, ID. He was the first of six children. Larry attended schools in Iona. He was a member of the LDS Church. He served in the Korean War from 1951 to 1954.
As a young boy and man he worked heavy equipment construction and land leveling with his father and brothers. On April 3, 1956 he married Janice Eileen Tawzer, they had three children. In about 1969-70 they moved to Thayne, where Larry and his family lived on Star Valley Ranch and he worked with the Stewarts in the building and growth of the ranch. Later on he had a trading business where they trucked cheese from Star Valley Ceese Co. around the U.S.
Larry has been a diabetic for about 20 years and on dialysis for about seven years.
Larry is survived by his children, all of Thayne; Jody Merritt; Shane Taylor and J.P. Taylor; eight grandchildren; brothers and sisters; Sharon Ballard, Idaho Falls; Loy David Taylor, Lehi UT; Meredith Taylor, Iona; Fawn Hedelius, Rigby, Patti Newman, Idaho Falls.
He was preceded in death by his wife Janice an infant son, his parents Ralph and Percy Taylor.
