Note from family researcher, Jean I. Burns (1st paragraph only):
"There were (2) Chester Arthur McGill's in Grandview at the same time. He was a veteran of WW I and he had been married 4 times. The other Chester Arthur McGill (b.1883 - d.1956) was married to Ola McCulley and was the son of Wm. Harvey & Margaret McGill."
One son was born to" Bud" and his first wife, Susie Benson (Lewis Arthur McGill 1905-1942). The couple lived briefly in Oklahoma near his oldest brother, William Edward McGill, and his wife Hannah Christena "Tena" Benson (Tena & Susie were sisters). He then settled on a farm north of Wapello, Louisa County, Iowa, where Susie died after a short illness.
Bud had three children with his second wife, Orpha Maddux, from whom he was divorced. During this period he was employed as a salesman for an elevator firm in Iowa.
His marriage to his third wife, Blanche Jones, in 1915, ended in divorce and they had one daughter, Mesa Mae McGill (1917-2003).
His fourth wife was Mae White.
Bud McGill spent his last years in California.
