Joseph B. Wall was the son of
Robert and Mary Gibson Wall
(they were married in Ohio Co.,
Ky. in 1808 - Daviess being part
of Ohio Co. until 1815)
Joseph's birth is listed
in the Family Bible, a copy of
which was given to me
by Mrs Helen Faith who had
the original.
Joseph married Julia Ann Waltrip
on Aug.21,1845 in Daviess Co.
Joseph and Julia had the following
children that lived to be adults:
(1)Rachel Wall
m/1 Stirman Wall m/2 Tom Osborne
(2)John H. "Jinks"
m/1 Lea Allen m/2 Judith Hicks
m/3 Grace Allen and
(3)Elizabeth H. "Bette" Wall
m/1 Robert "Bob" Ranson

Aunt "Bett" was born in Texas and
it appears the family moved there
before the Civil War and then
returned to Daviess after the war.

Joseph's death date is unknown, but
he is in the 1900 census with a
2nd wife Jane. (Mrs Jane Shelton),
married Feb. 24, 1897, Mclean Co.Ky.

In the Waltrip Family History,
by Allie Wright Osborne, written in 1941,
it is stated that
Joseph and Julia are buried at Travis.
His Grandson (my Grandfather),
Stirman W. "Woody" Wall told me
they were buried at Travis.
