HAZLEHURST - Daniel Alexander Shill, 77, died at a local hospital Friday after a lengthy illness. He was a retired foreman of the extra gang of the I.C.R.R. and formerly lived in Macon.
Survivors are his wife, Mrs. Florence Lee Shill; one son, J. W. Shill of Gloster; and one brother, D. B. Shill of New Orleans.
Services were held at 4 p.m. at the Hartman chapel Saturday with the Rev. A. A. Kitchen officiating and graveside services Sunday at Providence Cemetery near Hattiesburg, with the Rev. Tom McCurley officiating.
