Electrican for Arkansas Power & Light. At the time of his death, Mr Phillips was an Electrican for the Cotton Belt Railroad. He drowned in the Ouachita river near Britton gravel pit, nine miles north of Camden. Officials of the Cotton Belt RR reported, the electrical crew was engaged in stringing lights on a diesel powered towboat when Mr Phillips slipped and fell into the river.
