Ross G. Chesney, 69, of 1801 S.W. 4th avenue died in a Strawn Hospital at 3:15a.m. Thursday following a two-year illness. He had been a patient in the Strawn Hospital for the past 17 days.
Funeral services will be conducted at 4:00 p.m. Friday at Buzbee Funeral Chapel and burial will be in Woodland Park.
Chesney was born December 12, 1889 in Brazos and had resided in Palo Pinto County most of his life. He was and the former Clara Stephens were married in Mineral Wells March 30, 1913, and she survives him. He was a member of the Baptist Church.
Besides Mrs. Chesney survivors are six daughters, Mrs. R.A. Brown of Strawn, Mrs J.K. Miller of Austin, Mrs. J.A. Arms of Seymour, Mrs. R.A. Dodson of Fort Morgan, Colorado, Mrs. J.T. Price of Levelland, and Mrs. John D. Bradshaw of Mineral Wells; two sons, W.H. and R.L. Chesney, both of Springtown,a nd 24 grandchildren and four great grandchildren.
