Kerry B. Spradlin, 39, of Greenwood, passed away on Friday, February 20, 2009, after a courageous battle with cancer.

Kerry was a graduate of Westview High School in LaGrange County and attended Florida Southern College, where she attained a bachelor's degree in communications in 1991.

She was a registered lobbyist in the banking industry and served as Public Affairs Manager for Irwin Financial Corporation in Columbus, IN, as well as Vice President of Government Relations for the Indiana Bankers Association.

She was a former president of the Indianapolis-Marion County Library Board.

On February 10, 2009, she received a Distinguished Hoosier award issued by Governor Mitch Daniels.

She was a beloved cherished daughter, a dear kind-hearted sister, a dedicated loving mother, a supportive loving wife, and a special friend to so many people.

Survivors include her husband, Terry Spradlin of 16 years; her children, Joshua Michael and Abigail Reagan Spradlin; parents, Ralph and Marilyn Wilt of Wolcottville, IN; brother, David Wilt of Tucson, AZ; sisters, Deborah (Michael) Barrett of McCordsville, IN, Elizabeth Shaw of Leo, IN, Julie (Curt) Castetter of Jacksonville, FL, and several nieces and nephews.

Arrangements have been entrusted to G.H. Herrmann Greenwood Funeral Home, State Road 135 & Olive Branch Road.
She will be laid to rest at Woodland Cemetery in Wolcottville, IN.
