William Doyle Bilbrey, 72, of Mt. Juliet, Tenn., passed away, Tuesday, Feb. 10, 2009, at the home of his daughter in Lenoir City.

He was retired from the U. S. Navy and Wright Industries after 25 years of employment.

He was preceded in death by his wife of 37 years, Joretta West Bilbrey; his parents, Ina Jane Crisp Bilbrey Wilson and Joe Landon Bilbrey; and by his stepfather, Sam Wilson.

He is survived by his daughter, Denisa Dayle Matlock and husband, David Matlock of Lenoir City and Kimberly Jo Bilbrey Finchum of Mt. Juliet, Tenn.; his brother, James Bilbrey of Hermitage, Tenn.; his grandchildren, Maddison Emily Matlock, Jonathan Cole Matlock and Jason Lane Matlock, all of Lenoir City and Landon West Finchum of Mt. Juliet, Tenn.; by several brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces and nephews; and by his special mother-in-law, Stella West.

The family received friends Saturday at the Mundy Funeral Home in Jamestown. Funeral services followed. Burial followed in the Pritchard West Cemetery with military honors conferred by the Pickett County VFW.
