Page 88: Martha Maddox "Patsey" Boswell stated that she was with her father most of the time during his last illness and that he suffered with the bad leg, injured in the Seminole War - finally succumbed to high fever and blood poisoning on 17 November 1881. He is buried alongside of his first wife, Betty - on the tombstone it is inscribed ELIZABETH ANN - in the old Trovillion cemetery on the Deputy farm, one mile east of old Brownfield.
