Lois, 90, died at the home of her granddaughter. She was born in Pine Hill, AL and lived in Vero Beach since 1956, coming from Alabama.

She served in the American Red Cross during World War II in England and Okinawa, Japan. After completing business college in Birmingham, AL she moved to Vero Beach and assisted her husband, Dr. C. F. Rattray Jr. in his medical practice until 1968. She was a member of the First Church of God in Vero Beach.

Survivors include her daughter, Helen Crockett; son, Charles F. "Buddy" Rattray III; sister, Fontaine Wilhelm; brother, Frank Shamburger; eight grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.

SERVICES: Visitation will be from 5-7p Feb. 24 at the First Church of God Prayer Chapel, 1105 58th Ave., Vero Beach. She will be transferred to the O'Bryant Funeral Home in Thomasville, AL for a graveside service at the family plot on Feb. 28. Local arrangements are by Cox-Gifford-Seawinds Funeral Home and Crematory, Vero Beach. A guest book may be signed at seawindsfh.com/obit.php.
