HENRY C. BRANCH PASSES AWAY

Death Claims Well Known Resident Monday

Henry C. Branch died at his home on Lincoln street in this village Monday afternoon, after a period of ill health of about two years, at the age of 82.
He was the son of Stephen and Sarah Friday Branch and was born in the town of Canadice June 8th, 1849. On October 7th, 1870, he married Emily Parshall, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. I. G. Parshall. Her death occurred March 3d, 1872 and in 1874 he married Miss Margaret Adams of Canadice, who with one son, Clarence G. Branch, of New York city, survives him.
For many years Mr. and Mrs. Branch were residents of Canadice, coming to Wayland to reside in 1902.
Besides his wife and son he is survived by two brothers, Stephen Branch of Lake Odessa, Mich., and George Branch of Livonia, also by one sister, Mrs. Emma Rix of Canadice and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at the First Evangelical church this afternoon at 2 o'clock, Rev. C. A. Whitehead officiating, and burial will be in the local cemetery.

Henry Branch, who died at his home in Wayland recently, was for many years an honored resident of this town. He owned the farm now occupied by Lester Cork, and was a power in the church and community. Funeral services were held in Wayland. Interment in Wayland cemetery.

Death of Henry Branch
The death of Henry Branch, 80, brother of George Branch and Mark Brown of Livonia, occurred at his home in Wayland last week Tuesday. He had been in poor health about a year before his death and was confined to his bed for the last month.
Mr. Branch was born in Canadice but had lived in Wayland for twenty years or more. His first wife was the daughter of Arch Parshal of East Springwater, and she lived twelve months after their marriage. Several years later he married Miss Margaret Adams of Canadice. Their one son, Clarence, is now living in New York city.
Besides his wife and son, and the two brothers in Livonia, Mr. Branch leaves a brother, Stephen Branch of Lake Odessa, Mich., and one sister, Mrs. Clark Rix, of Rochester.
The funeral took place the following Thursday. The pastor of the Wayland Evangelical chuch of which Mr. Branch was a member, officiated, assisted by the Methodist minister. The burial was also in Wayland.
