Capt. David Bradish's Company in Col. Phinney's 31st Regt. of Foot:
This was a Falmouth company and many of these soldiers became prominent citizens of the town in after years. Most of the men served in other regiments and several became commissioned officers.

Capt. David Bradish entered the service April 24, 1775, as captain, and served in this regiment until Dec. 31, 1777. He married July 19, 1767, Abigail Merrill, and died 1818.
(Note: He also served from January 1 to July 17, 1777, as Major in Col. Timothy Bigelow's Regt.)

3.) Ben York added the following information on 8/20/2012 - Biography - "David Bradish (1745-1818) was born in Falmouth, Casco Bay (now Portland), Maine, and died there in 1818. He married Abiah Merrill on July 19, 1767. They had several children including two sons, Levi and David, and a daughter, Mary (Wheeler). Bradish was a captain in Colonel Phinius' regiment in 1775, and a major Timothy Bigelow's 15th Regiment from January 1, 1777, to July 26, 1779."
Could you change and his birth date to 1745 as above and his death date on the stone is June 18, 1818. (AE 73).
