Teton, Idaho-Funeral services for Jacob Johnston, 73, pioneer local resident, who died Saturday, were held Tuesday in the Teton L.D.S. church, with interment in the Teton Cemetery.

Mr. Johnston was born in Salt Lake City, Utah.

He came to Teton at the age of 21, settling on a homestead in 1892. He helped build the irrigation systems of this region and was bishop here 20 years. His wife died three years ago.

Eight sons and daughters survive, James, Orpha, Ervin, Clare and Myrtle Johnston, Mrs. Jerry Allen, Mrs. Stanton Welsch and Mrs. Clare Welsch Teton; three sisters, Mrs. Mary Staker, Magna, Utah; Mrs. Gertrude Thompson, Salt Lake City, and a brother, Clarence Johnston, Salt Lake City.
