Obituary - Lewiston Morning Tribune, Lewiston, Idaho, February 28, 1983

Josephine Eller, 83, Lewiston Homemaker - Josephine Eller, a Lewiston homemaker and resident of Lewiston for the past 38 years, died Saturday night at St. Joseph's Hospital of complications following a stroke. She was 83.
Mrs. Eller was born March 17, 1899, at LaGrande, Ore., to Levi and Katherine Pisell. The family lived in LaGrande until 1914. Mrs. Eller married Tom Johnson in 1918 and the two moved to Cloverland, Wash.. Johnson died in 1925, after which Mrs. Eller moved to Asotin.
She married Art Eller in Lewiston Sept. 19, 1929, and the two lived at Red Bird until 1936. They moved to Clearwater where they lived for 10 years, before settling down in Lewiston. Eller, a retired rancher, survives his wife at the couple's home at 613 Cedar Ave., Lewiston.
In addition to her husband, Mrs. Eller is survived by three daughters, Evelyn Nasset of Lewiston, Joy Talbott of Chewelah, Wash., and Carolee Steigers of Missoula; nine grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild. She was preceded in death by two children, Vivian and Melvin Johnson.
The funeral will be Wednesday at 1 p.m. at Mountain View Funeral Home, with the Rev. Robert Compton of Orchards Community Church officiating. Burial will follow at Lewis-Clark Memorial Gardens.
