He is survived by his wife, his daughter, Jennifer and son-in-law Jim Horvath.
Marty graduated from Urbana High School in 1961 and attended Illinois Commercial College.
He served in the Navy from 1965 to 1969 and was stationed in Guam. He was employed as a technician for Ameritech, retiring in 1999
He was a member of the Lutheran Church of Mahomet, the Illini Rebounders and the Illini Quarterback Club and was an I-Fund Donor.
