Robert was born the son of the late Robert and Blanche Ruzicka Bruno. He was raised and educated in Chicago and on June 28, 1988 Robert married Laura Borkowski in Madison, Wisconsin. Together they have lived in Wilmington for the past 13 years. Robert was a Vietnam Veteran and served his country for ten years in the United States Army.
Survivors include his wife: Laura and one son Ronald Bruno, both of Wilmington; four sisters; one sister-in-law: Lynn Hejka; his father-in-law: Ronald Borkowski of Crest Hill and numerous nieces & nephews. Robert was preceded in death by his parents; one brother and his mother-in-law: Juliann Borkowski.
