He was born Aug. 15, 1938, in Keystone, W.V., son of Josephine and the late Joseph Kwiatkowski.
Joseph was a retired Chicago police officer. After his retirement, he and his wife, Arlene Kwiatkowski, moved to Iron Mountain three years ago.
He leaves his wife, Arlene (Mikolajewski) Kwiatkowski; three daughters, Kim (Lawrence) Thompson of Midlothian, Ill., Wendy (Tim Foley) Kwiatkowski of Midlothian, Ill., and Jodi (Mark) McLawhorn of Evergreen Park, Ill.; a stepson, Daniel Otto; a stepdaughter, Laura (Brian) Katauskas; three grandchildren, Manuel Cordova, Candice McLawhorn and Jonathan McLawhorn and his mother, Josephine Kwiatkowski of Bridgeview, Ill.
