Excerpt -- Andrew Jackson Nose was born Sept. 12, 1862, and died July 22, 1904. He was converted and joined the M. E. church at Corinth, W.Va. during the winter of 1895, under the ministerial labors of Rev. E. P. Idleman. He married Mary A. Knotts, daughter of William Knotts, of Rowlesburg, April 16, 1885. One child, a daughter, Ethel, with the bereft wife, survive him. He was a member of the I.O.O.F., which order conducted an impressive ceremony that last rites of human respect in his funeral and burial. Religious services were conducted by his pastor, C. B. Meredith, and interment was at the Shay Cemetery.
