M. B. Conroy, Rice harvesting contractor, was crushed to death by a combine Sunday while cutting rice seven miles south of Bay City.

Mr. Conroy's death certificate lists "Severe chest injuries due to an accident" and "Combine reared up when came down, crushed deceaseds chest."

He was the son of M. B. Conroy Sr. and Ann Ryan.
