Mrs. Minnie F. HELVEY, 90, Akron, died at 6:10 p.m. Tuesday, September 5, 1978 at Canterbury Manor nursing home.

She was born Dec. 5, 1887 in Liberty Mills and had lived in Akron most of her life. She was married Aug. 3, 1912 in Roann to Claude HELVEY. She was a member of the Akron Church of God, where she had served as caretaker.

Surviving are a brother, Ray POTTENGER, Peru, and a sister, Mrs. Bessie PROVINCES, Roann. Three brothers and two sisters preceded in death.

Services will be at 1:30 p.m. Friday at the Akron Church of God, with the Rev. James HALL officiating. Burial will be in the I.O.O.F. cemetery, Roann. Friends may call at the Sheetz funeral home, Akron, after 2 p.m. Thursday.

Minnie and Claude lived next door to the Akron Church of God for years after they moved to town. Upon Minnie's death, she willed the property to the Akron Church of God and is now part of the church.
