Rosa was born April 15, 1874 in Georgia to Andrew Dolphus Welborn and Nancy Lawing. She was living in Howard County Arkansas when he met and married Milton Alexander on Feb. 9, 1893. Shortly afterwards they moved to Bowie County Texas.
She was a member of the Church of Christ. She was baptized on a very cold winter day. They had to break the ice on the river in order for her to be baptize.
Funeral service were held at 3 p.m. Sunday Dec. 23, 1951 at the Rock Creek Church, near New Boston with Rev. W. L. Fritts officiating. Burial at Rock Hill Cemetery.
