Mrs. Ethel Clora Barrier Clark, 88, of Newland, N.C. went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, Feb. 17, 2009.
Mrs. Clark was born to the late Martin Barrier and Anna Shell Barrier on June 4, 1921, in Burke County.
She is survived by her sister, Effie Barrier; sister-in-law, Elsie Barrier and brother-in-law, Claude Whisnant; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Ernest Clark; four sisters, Bertie Barrier, Murta Clark, Edith Whisnant and Bessie Rose; and three brothers Donald, Paul and Silas Barrier.
Visitation will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at the Kirksey Funeral Home.
Burial will be at 2:30 p.m. Saturday at the Gingercake Family Cemetery in Jonas Ridge.
