APACHE - Funeral for Marilyn Jean Tully, 62, Edmond, will be at 2:30 p.m., Wednesday at Mother of Sorrows Catholic Church, Apache, with the Rev. Prakash Madineni officiating.

Ms. Tully died Friday, Feb. 13, 2009, in Edmond.

Interment will be at Fairview Cemetery under the direction of Crews Funeral Home of Apache.

She was born July 31, 1946, in Anadarko, to George and Verna (Bennett) Tully. She grew up on the family ranch south of Carnegie. She loved the ranch and spent many hours riding horses, checking cattle with her father and seeing all the wild deer and turkeys. She attended Alden Public School until the fifth grade when her family moved to Carnegie. During her high school years she was the organist at St. Richard's Catholic Church in Carnegie. She graduated from Carnegie High School in 1964 and attended the University of Oklahoma, where she earned a master's degree in accounting. She became a certified public accountant (CPA) and worked in Oklahoma City for a few years before moving to Honolulu, Hawaii, where she opened her own business as a CPA. In 1991, she moved back to Oklahoma but continued to travel back and forth to Hawaii. She was a worldwide traveler and saw many places. She had a big heart and loved doing for others; in her death she continued to give by leaving her estate to the St. Gregory's Catholic College Scholarship Fund.

Survivors include her sister, Jane Tully, Colorado; and many cousins and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents.
