Delma Mae Manes, of Deer, was born Feb. 28, 1926, at Rosetta, a daughter of John T. and Maudie (Stone) Boen. She died Monday, Feb. 16 (2009) at her home, at the age of 82.

She was a homemaker and a member of the Church of Christ. She enjoyed quilting.


She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Odell Manes; one brother, Delmar Boen; and one sister, Florabell Peoples.

She is survived by one son and his wife, Dwight and Vickie Manes of Bergman; two daughters and their husbands, Glenda and Roy Clayborn and Linda and Don Ramsey of Deer; one brother, Gene Boen and his wife, Judy of Sprindgale; two sisters, Delphia Hudson and Lola Criner, both of Harrison; grandchildren, Jeff, Brad and Toby Clayborn, Jes Ramsey, Josh Manes and Matthew Manes; and great-grandchildren, Justin, Kurtis and Hunter Clayborn.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 19, at Deer Gym with Kelly Woods officiating. Burial will be at Crossroads Cemetery. Pallbearers will be grandsons and great-grandsons. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 18, at Holt Memorial Chapel. Memorials may be made to the Hospice of the Hills.
