Mary Ellen passed away at St. Elizabeth's hospital, where she had been a patient for a number of years. Like quite a few others in the family, she lived with bipolar disorder.
Her husband, James Ezra "Jim" Wheeler, was a security guard at the Capitol at some point. As of 1983 he was living in Yale CT with his son and daughter in law. I have not been able to determine his final disposition.
