Lovie Arsena Wildes Harris, 92, of Waycross died Saturday night at Hospice of the Golden Isles in Brunswick following an extended illness.

She was born in Waycross to the late Mrs. Charlie Wildes and Mrs. Rosa Cox Wildes. Mrs. Harris made Waycross her home most of her life, up to the last six years where she has lived in Brunswick with her daughter Betty Wildes. She was a member of the Liberty Christian Church.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband George S. Harris and a daughter Mary Helen Rowland.

Survivors include her six sons, Kenneth Harris, Ronald Harris and wife Jean, Johnny Harris and wife Carolyn, Bennie Joe Harris, Jerry Harris and Wayne Harris all of Waycross, her five daughters, Shirley Bonenefant and husband Leo of Columbia, SC, Faye Guinn of Gainesville, FL, Martha Sorg of Brunswick, Betty Wildes and husband Lamar of Brunswick, and Arlene Scott of Waycross, numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren, and other relatives.

A funeral service will be held Wednesday, 11:00 a.m. at Liberty Christian Church. Burial will follow at High Bluff Cemetery.

The family will receive friends at the Miles-Odum Funeral Home Tuesday, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers the family asks a memorial contribution be made to the Hospice of the Golden Isles, 1692 Glynco Parkway, Brunswick, GA 31525.
